DEFUNCT ANAMBRA STATE PROVINCIAL ADJUTANTS INSISTS ON DISRUPTION OF THE 2021 STATE POLL

● The Provincial Adjutants of Awka, Nnewi and Onitsha Province(s) are condemning in strong terms the delay tactics deployed by the prosecuting counsel/DPP Barrister Esoeloka Osuigwe during the last court sitting held last week against these Biafran prisoners of conscience incarcerated for over fifteen (15) years in the Onitsha and Awka Prisons controlled by the occupying Nigerian State.

These Indigenous Biafrans imprisoned for demanding their right to self-determination are as follows: Uche Idikaigbo, Michael Okezie, Uchenna Nicholas, Peter Igbokwe, Ikechukwu Aghara, Mrs. Onyekachi Orji, Miss Okwudiri Bassey, Chima Asor and Chinweike Irondi.

Others are Sabastine Amadi, Casmir Odakara, Ojemba Anyanwu, Eni Kalu, Ndubisi Okam, Ikechukwu Chikwem, Emmanuel Orji, Chukwuma Kalu, Chidiebere Chikwem and Mmaduabuchi Asika.

The Declaration of Principles of International Law Concerning Friendly Relations and Co-operation Among States adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1970 explicitly declared that “By virtue of the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, all peoples have the right freely to determine, without external interference, their political
status and to pursue their economic, social and cultural development, and every State has the duty to respect this right in accordance with the provisions of the Charter.”

The occupying Nigeria State has continually disregarded and abused the human rights and fundamental freedom of Indigenous Biafrans.

The attitude displayed by the DPP Esoeloka Osuigwe who tried every effort to stall the 3-day court hearing at the ‘Federal High Court, Awka’ on the case of treasonable felony against these Biafran prisoners of conscience is appalling but no longer a surprise to the Biafran National Guard {BNG}. BNG has solely continued to bear the cost and mishap of the illegal trial and will see through the end.

We are in the known that the DPP is doing the bidding of his kinsman and paymaster, Innocent Chukwuma alias Innoson Motors, whom has sworn to see the Biafran prisoners of conscience rot in jail. Esoeloka Osuigwe has continue to call for adjournments citing illness, conflict with other trials he handles or forgetting trial dates. Those are obviously absurd excuses from the occupying government prosecuting counsel in the bid to delay justice.

The Provincial Adjutants of Awka, Nnewi and Onitsha Province(s) hereby guarantee every individual, group or organisation preparing for the 2021 governorship election in defunct Anambra state that the poll will not be allowed to hold if these Biafran prisoners of conscience held for over 15 years in the Awka and Onitsha Prisons are not released by the end of the month of March 2021.

The Declaration of Principles of International Law Concerning Friendly Relations and Co-operation Among States adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1970 has empowered Indigenous Biafrans to freely determine their political status and also emphasized that “Every State has the duty to refrain from any forcible action which deprives peoples referred to above in the elaboration
the present principle of their right to self-determination and freedom and independence. In their actions
against, and resistance to, such forcible action in pursuit
of the exercise of their right to self-determination, such
peoples are entitled to seek and to receive support in
accordance with the purposes and principles of the Charter.”

The Biafran National Guard in pursuit of the exercise of the right to self-determination of Indigenous Biafrans will trigger every right as recognized and affirmed by international and regional instruments and charters.

SIGNED:

Lt. Col. Okoye Nwakibeya, Onitsha Province.

Col. Okunwa Okafor , Awka Province.
